Skegness’ Alice in Wonderland-themed hotel, dubbed the UK’s most unique venue, is up for auction with a £650,000 price tag, offering a whimsical investment opportunity.In 2021, Gary and Dee Allen made a significant investment when they purchased a 29-bedroom hotel, and they quickly transformed it into a captivating, Alice in Wonderland-themed emporium. This whimsical venue was meticulously designed with characters from the beloved Disney film integrated throughout, creating a unique and surreal atmosphere.

Before its enchanting makeover, the building was known as the Crown Hotel, a long-standing establishment that had closed its doors nearly 30 years ago. Since then, it had remained dormant, waiting for a new chapter to unfold.Fast forward to today, Hatters Hotel is now set to be auctioned on 26 March, marking a new phase in its storied existence.



The grand property, which spans an impressive 23,000 square feet, sits on a spacious 0.8-acre site. It will be included in an upcoming online auction organized by the renowned property auctioneer Pugh, part of Eddisons.

This auction will feature over 90 properties and land plots, presenting a unique opportunity for potential buyers and developers.While the Alice in Wonderland theme adds a distinctive touch to the venue, it is not a permanent fixture tied to the building itself. The theme can easily be removed, allowing new owners the flexibility to redesign the hotel and bring their own vision to life.
