Thursday, March 20, 2025 Dubai-based airline expects over 80,000 daily passengers from March 28 to April 6 Emirates, Dubai’s premier airline, is gearing up for a surge in passenger traffic leading up to and during the Eid Al Fitr holidays, with high volumes of travelers arriving and departing from the city. The airline anticipates that the peak periods for departures at Terminal 3 will occur on March 28, 29, and April 5, 6, with over 80,000 passengers flying out for spring break vacations. Emirates has advised passengers traveling from Dubai to allow extra time for their journeys due to expected congestion around Terminal 3 entrances, to avoid potential delays.
Here’s what travelers should consider ahead of the busy holiday period: Passengers are encouraged to arrive at the airport up to 3 hours before their flight and to be mindful of their boarding times to ensure timely arrival at the departure gate. A variety of check-in options are available, including online check-in via emirates.com or the Emirates App, which opens 48 hours before departure.
The Emirates City Check-in and Travel Store at ICD Brookfield Place is open 24 to 4 hours before departure for convenience (excluding flights to the US). Passengers can also book home check-ins from their residence or hotel, and make use of self-service check-in kiosks, baggage drop facilities, and mobile check-in ports in Terminal 3. For those traveling from the northern Emirates, check-in is available at the Ajman Central Bus.
