Friday, July 12, 2024 Zeus International Hotels and Resorts has acquired two hotels, one in Milan and another in Thessaloniki, as well as an office block in Athens, marking one of the portfolio’s largest acquisitions to date. This strategic move is part of the group’s ongoing expansion into privately owned hotels in Greece and Europe, alongside managing properties under long-term leases or with third-party owners, showcasing its dedication to enhancing asset performance. The properties were purchased from PRODEA Investments, the previous owner.

This acquisition represents a significant milestone in Zeus International Group’s expansion within the European hospitality market, increasing its portfolio of privately owned hotels to nine across Southeast Europe, including Greece, Italy, Romania, and Cyprus. The strategic move aligns with the company’s broader strategy to export warm Greek hospitality and unique guest experiences inspired by the distinctive identity and heritage of each destination—a hallmark of the Zeus Experience. Zeus International Group, a progressive hospitality and hotel management company in Greece known for its innovation in ultra-luxury, urban living, and personalized service concepts, has agreed to acquire the Dolce Milan Malpensa hotel in Milan, the Lazart Hotel Trademark Collection by Wyndham in Thessaloniki, and a five-story property in Athens from PRODEA Investments.

Zeus International already held the leases for both hotels. The Dolce Milan Malpensa hotel complex in Lombardo, Milan, is set within a lush landscape and features a modern design aesthetic. Strategically located just 7 kilometers from Malpensa Airport and near Milan’s historical attractions, the hotel offers 207 rooms, a restaurant, a café-bar, and state-of-the-art conference facilities accommodating up to 700 people.

The award-winning 5-star Lazart Hotel in Thessaloniki combines comfort and luxury in a prime location, just 10 minutes from the city center and opposite the cultural site “Lazarist Monastery.” This vibrant art hotel blends contemporary luxury with creative expression, transforming the space into a living gallery. With some of the most spacious rooms and unparalleled views in the city, it is ideal for families, couples, professionals, and visitors exploring Thessaloniki.

Building on its legacy as a leading hotel management company in Southeastern Europe, these acquisitions align with Zeus International Group’s 10-year plan to become one of Europe’s top hospitality management companies through new investments and strategic partnerships, while also increasing the number of privately owned hotels in its portfolio. Over the past seven years, the company has dynamically expanded, investing more than 250 million Euros into new developments and forming strategic partnerships with major global hotel brands like Wyndham and Hilton. This has expanded its portfolio to include 20 hotels valued at over 1 billion Euros, with approximately 4,000 rooms.

Zeus International Group is solidifying its position as a key player in the global tourism and hospitality industry. “With this strategy, the group brings the total number of hotels owned by Zeus International to nine, marking an important milestone in the group’s journey and bolstering its expansion in the European market. These new additions to the company’s portfolio demonstrate our dedication to the advancement and development of tourism and hospitality in Greece and abroad.

We will always be dedicated to promoting authentic hospitality through Zeus International’s experience and know-how,” shared Haris Siganos , Founder and Managing Director of Zeus International Hotels and Resorts..
