Zeekr, a chinese brand has unveiled its all electric luxury minivan and it looks promising. Here is everything that you need to know. Zeekr is an electric car brand which is owned by Geely automotive holdings who also own brands like Volvo and Lotus.

The Zeekr brand is quite new in the market, being founded in 2021. Zeekr has unveiled its new 009 all electric luxury minivan which could give stiff competition to the likes of vehicles like the Kia Carnival and Toyota Vellfire. Here is everything you need to know.



The Zeekr 009 is the second vehicle from the brand after the 001. It was launched back in 2022 and now has received a minor facelift. It has a very boxy design which is quite common for this type of a vehicle.

Minivans are usually optimized for space and there is nothing more practical than a literal box on wheels. It does look quite cool though. On the inside, it is all business.

The seats are nothing less than a couch and the vehicle is loaded with a lot of features. For the update, one can also spec the vehicle in a 2+2+3 layout as well. The Zeekr 009 has a Grand variant as well which has 2+2 seating configuration and is a fully equipped luxury van with a central partition and a large TV.

The Zeekr 009 is loaded with a lot of tech features including a 10.2-inch digital drivers display, a 15.4-inch touch infotainment screen and a 15.

6-inch central display which comes folds up into the ceiling. There are two sunroofs, one for the front and a large one for the rear passengers, ambient lighting, a full safety suite with ADAS features, multiple cameras across the vehicle and inside the cabin. It also has a 20-speaker hi-fi audio system by Yamaha.

In terms of the drivetrain, the Zeekr 009 features a 140 kWh battery from which it produces 778 bhp and 810 Nm of torque. It has an estimated range of 822 kms on a full charge. 0-100 kmph happens in a mere 4.

5 seconds, and it can be had with either RWD or AWD. The Zeekr 009 has a starting price of RMB 439,000 (around Rs 50.67 lakh) and goes up to RMB 469,000 (around Rs 54.

14 lakh). The vehicle is currently sold in China and will also make its way into Australia soon..
