The alleged offences are said to have taken place in Australia with the 29 year old, whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, arrested in Brisbane on Tuesday. He has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman in her 20s while staying in a Perth hotel on 28 September, following a performance at Bar1 Nightclub in Hillarys on the evening of 27 September.
The rapper, who has more than 3 million Instagram followers, had performed at Havana Nightclub on the Gold Coast just two days before his arrest. Yung Filly has been charged with four counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault, and one count of impede a person's normal breathing or circulation by applying pressure to their neck. He appeared at Perth Magistrates Court today represented by top-flight barrister Seamus Rafferty SC, who successfully argued for bail.
Magistrate Tanya Watt granted him bail but imposed strict conditions including a ban on contacting his alleged victim or posting on social media about the case. He must also stay in Western Australia, report daily to police and post a personal $100,000 cash surety - about £50,000. News of his arrest comes during his Aust.
