Prayagraj: Three police teams have been constituted to work out the killing of Shiv Prasad Yadav (24) whose body was found in his relative’s house at Ganga Vihar colony under the limits of Phaphamau police station late on Sunday night. Shiv Prasad was preparing for competitive exams and his engagement was solemnized three days ago. Police said the youth was hit on his neck with an iron rod, which led to fatal injuries .

The iron rod with blood stains was recovered by the police from the roof of the house where he lived. DCP (Ganga Nagar) Abhishek Bharti told TOI that, “The motive behind the killing was yet to be ascertained as police have picked up three persons for quizzing”. The case came to light on Sunday night when the elder brother of the deceased, Ramkumar first called up Shiv Prasad as he did not visit home to have dinner.



When Ramkumar arrived at his relative’s house where Shiv Prasad was staying, he found his younger brother’s body lying in a pool of blood. DCP, meanwhile, said the slain youth was staying at his relative’s house to prepare for competitive exams and he used to visit his native house, located a stone’s throw away, to have lunch and dinner. The police are scanning the mobile of the deceased to find more clues.
