Pune: A 20-year-old youth was arrested on the charge of beating up a paan stall owner and robbing him of Rs6,000 on Monday morning in the Pimple Gurav area of Pimpri Chinchwad. A video clip doing the rounds on social media platforms led the police to arrest the accused from Old Sangvi and book his accomplice. An officer from the Sangvi policesaid that both suspects on Monday went to the paan stall and started abusing the owner.
They ransacked the stall and beat him up. “The duo forcibly took Rs100 from the owner. While leaving the shop, they robbed Rs6,000 from the counter and fled,” he said.
