Representing the Philippines with pride is Chelsea Manalo, the country’s first Filipino-Black American contestant.
Manalo carries the hopes of Filipino fans who are eager to see her bring home the fifth Miss Universe crown for the Philippines. Alongside Manalo, three other half-Filipina delegates are also expected to receive immense support from Filipino viewers: Victoria Velasquez Vincent from New Zealand, Christina dela Cruz Chalk from the United Kingdom, and Shereen Ahmed from Bahrain. As the competition intensifies, the 130 beauty queens will first be narrowed down to a Top 30 for the semifinal round.
These finalists will then vie for a spot in the Top 12, where they will dazzle in the evening gown segment. From this group, only five will advance to the final round to participate in the iconic question-and-answer portion. It is from this esteemed Top 5 that the next Miss Universe will emerge.
