A Bolton nursery toasted its most recent cohort of children as they took the next step in their educational journeys. Heaton Dene Nursery held its annual graduation production last month. Children at the nursery, which has been around for almost 30 years, showed their parents how far they have come there.

Leanne Sharpe of Heaton Dene said: "The show is dedicated to the children having lots of fun whilst singing , dancing and performing, the whole room was bursting with love and pride. Children at the graduation (Image: Heaton Dene Nursery) "We pride ourselves in helping the children develop and sharpen their many skills, our production demonstrates their journey through the nursery as they are confident, happy and socially engaged children bursting with energy and motivation. "We make moving onto the next chapter a fun and exciting time and make their last days in nursery as special as it can be.

However, we did finish with good cheer, doing the conga around the hall, something the schoolroom children love to do." She added: "We always like to finish off with an end of year party where the children can have lots of fun. Having fun (Image: Heaton Dene Nursery) "Thrive CIC and Next Stage Performing Arts gave them a final graduation show to remember, they sparked their imaginations with a magical performance involving music , dancing and props.

"The children had the best time as their smiles and giggles filled the room." One parent said: "Thanks for a super duper graduation, it was fabulous! "The schoolroom graduation show was fantastic, the nursery did a brilliant job of putting it all together, planning and delivering the show. The show was so personal - reach for the stars ended it really well.
