A renowned motor vehicle competition is revving up to take place in Bolton this month in an event organisers hope will inspire new generations of youngsters. The Motor Vehicles Finals will be hosted by Bolton College at its STEM centre and aims to give talented youngsters from across the country the chance to compete. The finals are part of the wider WorldSkills UK National Competition which will include other host colleges from around Greater Manchester and a range of categories.
Bolton College principal Bill Webster said: “We are thrilled to host the WorldSkills UK motor vehicle competition at Bolton College, a proud member of the Greater Manchester Colleges Group. “This event is a fantastic opportunity to support and celebrate the incredible talents of young people from across the country, giving them a platform to showcase their skills. ” WorldSkills UK is itself part of the wider WorldSkills network which has 80 member countries around the world and works to raise youngsters skill levels with competitions like these. Skills range across 40 areas from 3D Digital game art to welding, with Bolton College set to exclusively host the motor vehicle finals/ The finals conclude regional competitions held nationwide, where over 400 talented apprent.
