A man in his 20s has died at a hardstyle music festival in Sydney Olympic Park on Saturday. He suffered a medical episode while attending the sold-out Knockout Outdoor Music Festival at the Sydney Showground in Homebush, about 11.50pm, NSW Police said.

Know the news with the 7NEWS app: Download today The young man could not be revived when NSW Ambulance paramedics were called to the scene in Hall 5 at the showgrounds, NSW Police said. At this stage, his death is not being treated as suspicious, and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
Sunrise understands several other people at the event were also taken to hospital. Up to 60,000 people attended the sold-out event. Following last year’s Knockout festival event, two people died in two separate incidents, which both occurred about 1am.
A 26-year-old man was transported from the festival to Concord Hospital, where he died. At the same time, a 21-year-old man, who attended the same festival, was treated by paramedics at a hotel on George St in Sydney’s CBD before being transported to St Vincent’s Hospital where he later died..
