Look, we’re all familiar with the Internet: sometimes websites write needlessly dramatic headlines to catch your attention. But we’re really not exaggerating with this one: how many of you had Jeff the Land Shark on your Marvel Rivals bingo card? Okay, we know technically this character leaked so some of you may have already been aware of their impending inclusion, but the rest of you? Exactly ! It's so over(watch) Who even is Jeff the Land Shark? Well, this is a character that’s not been in the Marvel Cinematic Universe yet, so he’s perhaps less well known in popular culture. But comic book enthusiasts will immediately recognise the character from the West Coast Avengers .

He was first included in a comic in 2018, but wasn’t officially named and introduced until a later issue in 2019. As you’d expect of a shark, Jeff’s main ability is biting and his enormous appetite, although his unique attributes (i.e.

his legs) set him apart from his aquatic peers. We love all the character designs in Marvel Rivals, and we reckon Jeff the Land Shark looks ace as well. Of course, if you’re waiting to see how he plays , then you won’t have to wait long, as he’ll be joining the PS5 closed beta alongside another character who needs no introduction: Thor.

Obviously, many of you will already be familiar with the God of Thunder, so we’re confident we don’t need to elaborate. In terms of gameplay roles, it’s expected that Thor will be a Vanguard while Jeff the Land Shark will be a Strategist. We’ll test both out over the weekend and put together some impressions if they’re particularly interesting to play as.

In the meantime, check out the trailer embedded above for a first glimpse at the two new arrivals. [source youtube.com ] About Sammy Barker As the Editor of Push Square, Sammy has over 15 years of experience analysing the world of PlayStation, from PS3 through PS5 and everything in between.

Comments 5 Jeff is also inexplicably the most powerful(arguably) and sought after card in Marvel Snap 😂 I feel like I’m the only person who read that WCA run.

Such a bizarre mix of characters but I’ve been a Kate Bishop stan since the early 10s so it was a no brainer. At first I wasn't interested in the game, but now when I saw Jeff the Land Shark is included my interest remains the same @Czar_Khastik Okay, this one got me.
