Enugu State government and acclaimed Prime Minister of Biafra – Simon Ekpa, have traded words, following Governor Peter Mbah’s call for the latter to be repatriated from Finland. Governor Peter Mba , on Saturday, called on House of Representatives Committee on National Security and Intelligence, which paid him a working visit, to expedite action for Simon Ekpa to be repatriated from Finland. Governor Mbah accused Simon Ekpa of being responsible for killing and insecurity in the South East.

He said Ekpa through his illegal sit-at-home order causes criminal activities to take place in the South East region. “ I urge the House of Representatives to take up the challenge of ensuring his repatriation to Nigeria to answer to his acts of murder and terrorism in the South East region. “In fact, it is surprising that the Finnish Government allows this criminal to reside peacefully in their country while perpetrating terrorism in the South East region.

I implore the Committee to see how this fugitive can be repatriated and brought to justice. Many people have perished as a result of his reckless utterances and actions, and yet he continues in that trajectory. “So, we as a nation must act together to put a stop to this tragedy.

He doesn’t represent the Igbo interest or whom we are as a people ,” Governor Mbah said. In a reaction, Simon Ekpa on his X handle, on Sunday, accused Governor Mbah of destroying Enugu through his administration’s demolition of businesses. “ They have unleashed their media against Biafra, they know the consequences of our sit-at-home.

“This Peter Mbah is very restless, this is the illegitimate Mbah that is destroying his so-called Igbo properties in Enugu, ” Ekpa wrote on his handle. While reacting to Ekpa’s tweet, Senior Special Adviser to Mbah on Media, Dan Nwomeh, accused Ekpa of betraying the leader of Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu . “ Coward! Ekperima (thief) pro max.

You have betrayed Mazi Nnamdi Kanu by perpetrating acts which he warned you are detrimental to ongoing efforts by Igbo leaders to secure his release. “You are only after money and how to continue your expensive lifestyle and enjoyment while inflicting pain on our people with your senseless sit-at-home terror and criminal attacks on Igbo businesses and sources of living. Your day of retribution is near ,” Nwomeh responded.

He added that “ Simon Ekpa knows nothing about Enugu State or the values we hold dear, does not have our interest and wellbeing at heart; only instigates mayhem and bloodshed in our homeland, promoting acts of criminality and terror that kill businesses and scare away investor from our region. “You would think that an Igbo enemy is sponsoring him to set the homeland on fire. A con man, manipulator, and traitor to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, doing everything to keep his master in captivity while fancying himself as Prime Minister and luxuriating in opulence.
