Jey Uso fought back tears after finally winning his first ever singles title after 14 years in WWE . The beloved superstar, who spent a decade rising up the tag team ranks as The Usos alongside twin brother Jimmy, went solo in 2020 and made history by winning the Intercontinental Championship on Monday Night Raw. He toppled rising star Bron Breakker just months into his title reign, pinning him after an Uso Splash to secure an emotional win in an electric main event.
Jey, who recently invited Oasis to ‘thrash out’ any differences in a WWE ring, immediately went into the crowd to celebrate his incredible achievement with fans who have been championing him themselves for years now. In an interview with Jackie Redmond after Raw went off the air, the 39-year-old wrestler was visibly overwhelmed as he put his face in his hand and tried to regain his composure.
