I think one of the biggest problems with Wuthering Waves is that it has copied so much from Genshin – things, mind you, that didn’t even need to be copied like the scenic photo feature, the gacha system, and the UI and even the font – that it harms the game overall. If Kuro wants to set WuWa apart from Genshin more, it needs to stop copying ideas from HoYoverse and start improving in the areas where Genshin also gets criticised. Giving us the choice to change between the male and female MC would be a fantastic start.

There are also reports that Kuro is going to make a , which is a positive step for the game. WuWa might be catching a lot of flack at the moment, but there’s still plenty of love about the game. Changli’s banner has just been released, , and people are still finding out .

Now, however, fans are voicing their issues with the main character, referred to as the Rover. People on Reddit are begging Kuro Games to implement a feature where you can switch between the male and female MC you choose at the start of the game. The biggest issue for many at the moment in the WuWa community is the main character.

In yet another move where Kuro Games copied Genshin Impact, you can pick between a male or female MC when you start a new game, but once you pick, you cannot change this character. In a post on the game’s subreddit, OP oceanxo wrote a post titled, “ “. The post goes on to lament that “I started with female rover because of the silly ‘omg my waifuu x3’ memes but man, the VA is really not it”.

It’s not just down to the voice acting that people want this option to change, but because it allows for more freedom. One comment simply reads “I would pay $100 for this”. The sentiment isn’t shared by everyone, with another person commenting “Lmao.

You’ve made your bed, you gotta go lie in it”. Another person, more helpfully, said “Just switch to the Japanese dub. It’s better anyway”.

The post raises an interesting choice for Kuro, and it seems like an all-round positive if this feature were to be implemented. Jack Webb is a guides writer for VideoGamer. By subscribing, you agree to our and may receive occasional deal communications; you can unsubscribe anytime.
