– Conner Clanton headlined a team championship for the Valle Catholic boys wrestling team with an individual title at the Brentwood Invitational. The senior beat all five of his opponents in the 138-pound division with three pins and a 16-0 shutout among two technical falls. Clanton held down Blake Watson of Sullivan in the final, and the Warriors preserved an 11-point win over runner-up STEAM Academy in the 13-team field.



Eight Valle Catholic competitors placed within the top four in their weight classes, including second-place honorees Wil Kuehn, Andrew Schilly and Kalan Fallert. Kuehn (157) posted a fall, 4-0 decision and 15-3 major, while Fallert (126) secured a fall, 16-0 technical fall and 21-7 major decision in four round-robin matches. Schilly (144) amassed a 4-1 record on the day, scoring two falls and two technical falls before being pinned in the title round.

Jonathan Knoblach (150) placed third at 3-2 with three falls. Mason Folk (175), borrowed from St. Paul Lutheran in a co-op partnership, went 2-2 with two falls for similar standing.

Ethan Wolk (132), Cutter Abt (190) and Nolan Prehm (285) each contributed one victory by fall. Chaminade Tournament FRONTENAC, Mo. – Nathan Morefield-Crayton brought home the heavyweight title for North County during the Chaminade Tournament on Saturday.

Morefield-Crayton capped a 3-0 eve.
