Construction is underway for the arrival of the London-based Japanese Brazilian chain Sushi Samba in West Hollywood. The restaurant is opening on the expansive rooftop of the La Peer Building located next door to Ladyhawk at 639 North La Peer Drive. Slated to open in 2025, the restaurant spans 17,500 square feet with a 360-degree view and retractable roof.

The West Hollywood restaurant marks an ambitious return for the international brand as its last U.S. location opened in 2008 in Las Vegas.



Sushi Samba debuted in New York in 1999 with a Japanese, Brazilian, and Peruvian menu. It has since expanded to Dubai, Singapore, and Doha, Qatar. Dizon Collective is designing the West Hollywood space with terrazzo flooring, marble bar, lush plants, and a canopy cover made from recycled materials.

The open kitchen, sushi bar, and robata grill will allow diners to watch live food preparation. The restaurant is leaning into LA’s celebrity culture by offering a private dining room, private elevator, and separate entrance.
