An exclusive set of collectable cards featuring beloved Disney characters like Simba and Spider-Man will be available for the first time at Australian supermarkets and stores. The Disney Worlds of Wonder card pack will be available at Woolworths supermarkets and Metros for free for shoppers who spend $30 from August 14 – September 24. Also available at Big W and on the Milkrun app, the exclusive collector set includes 108 cards carrying much-loved Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars characters.
Woolworths senior manager of collectibles Paul Stibbard said the cards “give more families extra value when they shop” following a similar promotion last year. “We’re thrilled to offer even more ways for families to collect and connect with their favourite Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars characters,” Ms Stibbard said. “This will be the first time we’re running the program simultaneously across our Supermarkets and BIG W.
“This will allow more families the opportunity to experience a little magic with every shop.” Walt Disney Company ANZ vice president Tim Everett said the longstanding collaboration gave Big W shoppers the chance to have a “deeper connection” with its characters. The collector set will include an “ultra rare Disneyland Resort holographic card” featuring Sleeping Beauty’s Castle, only a handful of which will be circulated next month.
A special collector’s album will also be available when the promotion launches with customers also able to purchase additional card sets on top of the free package..
