Pune: A 46-year-old woman succumed to injuries after the motorcycle she was riding pillion on skidded at Tilekarnagar in Kondhwa on Nov 12. The victim has been identified as Punita Devi Singh . The accident occured around 5pm when she was travelling on the two-wheeler with her husband, Vijaykumar (54).
The victim's husband also suffered injuries, said a source in the Kondhwa police. The police on Saturday night registered a case in this regard. According to the Kondhwa police, the couple was heading towards Shivajinagar from Kondhwa for some personal work.
A few minutes after they left their home, Vijaykumar applied sudden brakes, and both of them fell on the road. Punita was taken to the Sassoon General Hospital after she suffered serious head injuries, an officer of the Kondhwa police said. "She succumbed to injuries on Saturday.
Following her death, we registered the case," an officer of the Kondhwa police said..
