A wealthy Chinese woman sought revenge on Louis Vuitton staff after poor treatment. She made them count 6,00,000 yuan (Rs 70 lakh) in cash, only to leave the store without purchasing anything. The woman, who goes by the name xiaomayouren on the social media platform Xiaohongshu, said that she had an “infuriating” experience at the Louis Vuitton store at the StarLight Place shopping centre in Chongqing, southwestern China, in June. Her request for drinking water was ignored and she was shown old seasonal clothes when she wanted to check out the new arrivals.



When she asked the staff to show her some dresses for trial, they rolled their eyes and looked impatient, the South China Morning Post reported. When the woman called the headquarters of Louis Vuitton, she was again ignored. Two months later, the woman went to the same store again with a bag of 6,00,000 yuan (Rs 70 lakh), along with her personal assistant and a friend.

After trying on some clothes, the woman told the salesperson she would make the purchase. She then handed the shop staff a large bag filled with banknotes to pay. The store staff spent two hours counting the money.

Once they were done, the woman told them, “We don’t want to buy now. We are leaving.” She took her money and left the store.

“How is it possible for me to buy their products to improve their work performance?” she said on Xiaohongshu. Netizens react The woman’s story of revenge has gone viral on Chinese social media platforms, delighting netizens. One user said, “This ending is so delightful.

I have always wondered why these shop assistants are so arrogant.” Another wrote, “They sell luxury goods, but it does not mean they are luxury goods themselves.”.
