Monday, October 7, 2024 Wizz Air, recognized as the world’s top airline for environmental sustainability*, has inaugurated its latest pilot training center at Rome Fiumicino Airport, Italy. This cutting-edge facility marks the airline’s second such center, building on the foundation established by its Budapest counterpart. Designed to offer ongoing training for over 4,800 pilots annually, the center underscores Wizz Air’s dedication to maintaining the utmost safety and advancing technological innovation within the aviation sector.

The official opening on October 1, 2024, featured prominent addresses from Wizz Air’s CEO József Váradi, Aeroporti di Roma’s CEO Marco Troncone, and CAE’s Vice President of EMEA Commercial Aviation, James Cahill. Jozsef Varadi, Wizz Air’s CEO , commented: “This new training centre in Rome signifies Wizz Air’s commitment to investing in the future of aviation and our employees. Our pilots are at the heart of our operations, and this facility will ensure that they continue to receive the most advanced, rigorous training possible.
