The three-year-old Akita and German Shepherd Cross arrived at Dogs Trust Merseyside a few weeks ago and is, according to staff at the rehoming centre, 'stunning'. He is described as 'a playful boy and could live with teenagers, but he’d like to be the only pet in the home'. He enjoys having a fuss made of him but in true Akita style, when he’s ready he'll just gently walk away and is happy to chill out on his own.
Georgina Lowery, manager at Dogs Trust Merseyside, said: "Eric is a beautiful boy, a wonderful mix of Akita and German Shepherd. "He likes to take a little time to get to know people, so he’d prefer a family who aren’t going to overwhelm him with attention until he has had the chance to get to know them, but once he’s your friend he’s a friend for life." Georgina continued: "He loves to chase a tennis ball and play fetch with his human friends.
When it comes to making four-legged friends, Eric isn’t overly confident, so he’ll need help with this when he meets his new family." For more, go to www.dogstrust.
