DENVER — Winter weather caused delays on Wednesday at Denver International Airport (DIA) ahead of the busy Thanksgiving holiday. As of 12:25 p.m.

, 416 delays have been reported at DIA. Only two flight cancellations have been reported so far, both United flights. Departing aircraft were being sprayed with deicing fluid to remove snow and ice, which can add 15 to 20 minutes to a trip.



The state's largest airport encourages passengers to check on any delays or cancellations before heading to the airport. Security wait times can be checked ahead of time at FlyDenver.com .
