Tuesday, August 6, 2024 Windstar Cruises appoints Jason Grant as Vice President of Information Technology, leading IT strategy and fleet expansion with two new ships arriving in 2025 and 2026. Windstar Cruises has appointed Jason Grant as the new Vice President of Information Technology. Grant will be responsible for managing both shoreside and shipboard IT operations across Windstar’s network, while spearheading the company’s technology strategy, innovation, and performance enhancements.

Bringing over twenty years of expertise in the tech industry, Grant has previously led IT teams internationally, providing innovative tech solutions to multiple cruise operators. His career includes significant roles at Lindblad Expeditions, followed by his time at Carnival Corporation. There, he worked with various brands such as Seabourn, Holland America Line, Princess Cruises, and P&O Australia, serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer.



Most recently, Grant held the position of Chief Technology Officer at Shoot 360, a revolutionary basketball training system that utilizes advanced machine vision technology, employed by entities like the NBA, NCAA, and various commercial enterprises. “Jason’s extensive background in technology and his passion for the cruise industry and enhancing customer experiences make him an ideal fit for Windstar Cruises,” shared Windstar Vice President of Human Resources Toby Skey . “As we continue to expand our fleet and enhance our offerings, his innovative approach along with our incredible existing IT team will be instrumental in helping us leverage technology to provide our guests with exceptional service and unforgettable experiences.

” Grant’s guidance will be crucial as Windstar Cruises progresses with its fleet expansion plans. The addition of two new vessels, the Star Seeker and the Star Explorer, scheduled to join the Windstar fleet in 2025 and 2026 respectively, underscores the company’s growth trajectory. “I’m excited to join Windstar Cruises and contribute to a brand that is synonymous with extraordinary global travel experiences,” shared Grant .
