Sunday, January 26, 2025 Windstar Cruises has announced its plan to operate its first-ever full winter season in the Canary Islands, set to begin later in 2025. The cruise line will offer nine 10-day sailings from November 2025 to February 2026, providing an exciting opportunity for travelers seeking an alternative winter getaway. Unveiling the 10-Day Itinerary The newly introduced 10-day cruise will be a round-trip voyage, departing from Santa Cruz de Tenerife, one of the primary gateways to the Canary Islands.

The itinerary will include stops at a variety of picturesque and culturally rich destinations, including San Sebastián de la Gomera, Santa Cruz de Palma, and Lanzarote. Additionally, the cruise will feature overnight stays in Madeira and Las Palmas, offering guests ample time to explore each of these destinations in more depth. The voyage, named the Canary Island Idyll , will take guests on an extraordinary journey through the region, highlighting the natural beauty and fascinating landscapes of the Canary Islands.



Passengers will have the chance to engage in unique land experiences such as camel rides, tours in classic cars, exploring the Timanfaya National Park, and even walking along the crater of San Antonio volcano. A New Chapter for Windstar Cruises Windstar Cruises will be operating these voyages aboard its recently renovated four-masted sailing ship, Wind Star . The ship, which accommodates just 148 guests, offers an intimate, luxury cruise experience.
