Launched in 2016, Windham Kitchen , the Portage County native’s business now reaches about 100 stores across Ohio, Pennsylvania and western New York. Lamtman said his regional salsa business came from humble beginnings when he began growing tomatoes and other produce in his home garden. “I had a small garden,” he said.



“I lived in Windham, Ohio, which is where the name came from. “I had a small backyard garden, and most everything in the product (came from there). People really liked it.

I used to make it just for family and friends.” At the request of those same family and friends, Lamtman began selling his homemade salsas at trade shows and local farmers markets. It was a struggle at first to get the products into stores, he said.
