NEW DELHI: Ukraine 's ambassador to India, Oleksandr Polishchuk, on Monday announced that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy may visit India by the end of this year, after an invitation from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The visit's timing will be mutually decided for convenience. The meeting between the two leaders aims to foster bilateral relations and discuss global peace-building efforts.

" Prime Minister Modi kindly invited my president to visit India, and I'm hopeful it will happen. Maybe by the end of this year, we will be happy to see President Zelenskyy here, as it would mark another step forward in our bilateral relationship . It would also provide a great opportunity for the two leaders to spend more time discussing the peace-building process around the world," Polishchuk told ANI.



Prime Minister Modi's visit to Ukraine on August 23 marked the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Ukraine since diplomatic relations were established in 1992. During this visit, both leaders expressed their commitment to international law principles, including respect for territorial integrity and sovereignty of states.
