The Wiener Staatsoper has announced a slate of Livestreams for October through December. The first stream of the season will be “Fin de Partie” by György Kurtág. Simone Young conducts the cast which includes Georg Nigl, Charles Workman, Hilary Summers, and Philippe Sly.
Livestream Date: Oct. 19, 2024 The second stream of the season will be Britten’s “ Billy Budd ” starring Gregory Kunde, Huw Montague Rendall, Brindley Sherratt, Adrian Eröd, Wolfgang Bankl, and Attila Mokus. Mark Wigglesworth conducts.
Livestream Date: Nov 3, 2024 Hans Pfitzner’s “Palestrina” will be conducted by Christian Thielemann and will star Günther Groissböck, Michael Nagy, Michael Laurenz, Wolfgang Bankl, Wolfgang Koch, Michael Kraus, and Hiroshi Amako.
