This decision was announced by District Commissioner and Chairperson of the District Disaster Management Authority, Apoorv Devgan, to ensure the safety of travelers.
The closure comes in response to concerns raised by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) about the increased risk to motorists due to frequent landslides and dangerously hanging boulders along this stretch of the highway.
