Vote for Warrington’s Best for Afternoon Tea 2024 Nominate your favourite for Warrington’s Best for Burgers 2024 Eight perfect pizza places made the shortlist for the latest Best of 2024 award and San Lorenzo has taken this year’s coveted crown. Pizza margherita Charles Dobosz and Adam Smith opened San Lorenzo in The Treasury Building on Palmyra Square South in 2018 following the success of their first two restaurants – The Grill on the Square, which opened in 2010, and Las Ramblas Wine and Tapas, which opened in 2015. The dynamic duo have since opened The Terrace Gin & Cigar Bar and The Treasury Private Dining Rooms, which are also in The Treasury Building.



Charles who is originally from Paris, and Adam who is from Manchester, first met while working at Michael Caines two-star Michelin restaurant, Abode in Manchester. Together they have worked in the hospitality industry for more than 22 years with 15 of those in Warrington. Pizza chef Andrei Fudulache Charles said: “We love the people here - it’s a great town that we both now call home.

“The great thing about our industry is meeting so many fantastic people. “We serve happiness - from a lunch with friends to sharing your special occasions. “It’s lovely to be a part of it all and we’re grateful our guests choose to drink, dine and enjoy with us.

” San Lorenzo is located over two floors of The Treasury Building with the first floor dining room featuring an open kitchen where guests can watch the chefs create the authentic Italian menu, including their hand stretched Neapolitan wood fired pizzas. On the menu are classics like margherita, Capri with goat’s cheese, figs and honey, and Calabrese with spicy Nduja and specials including seafood pizza with lobster and king prawns or smoked salmon pizza with spiced vodka sauce. Charlie’s Bar on the ground floor offers the hugely popular unlimited pizza and prosecco or beer every Saturday afternoon and all day on a Sunday.

Charles said: "We serve happiness - from a lunch with friends to that perfect special occasion" Charles said: “We strive to consistently offer outstanding customer service with exceptional food in beautiful surroundings, which is only achievable thanks to our fantastic chefs and wonderful front of house, with special thanks to our general manager Petya Topalova, head chef Jamie Warburton, and of course the best pizza chefs Andrei Fudulache and Gyorgy Csongor.” Charles added: “Most of all we would like to thank our guests and everyone who voted for San Lorenzo during the nomination process and once we were shortlisted for this award. “There was a lot of great competition in this category so we are absolutely thrilled to have won.
