When it comes to British holidays, there are few places that do it better than the Norfolk Coast. Whether you’re a roaring packed family with the dog in the boot on half term, if you’re a pair having a long weekend away or even a solo traveller discovering the area, this East Anglian county offers so much for holiday goers. One of the most popular parts of the Norfolk Coast is Holkham Beach.

It might not be your typical pebbly beach offering log flumes, fish and chips and candy floss, but it returns with its expansive beauty which blends golden sand dunes, wildlife and pine forests to be one of Norfolk’s most beautiful beaches. Despite its popularity, it still manages to feel quiet because of its sheer size. It’s the perfect place for dogs because of this, giving them a great opportunity to run without leads.

Holkham has been a popular place for filming, featuring Marvel and Land Rover . Holkham National Nature Reserve (Holkham NNR) is England’s largest nature reserve, and covers about 4,000 hectares. Holkham NNR has done multiple conservations on the beach.

If you’ve been to the Norfolk Coast before, you’ll know just how dog-friendly it is. This is fantastic to see as the UK loves their dogs, with almost 13 million of them living with us. Bringing your mutt to the Norfolk Coast is the perfect way for them to experience new places and great walks.

Almost every restaurant and pub is dog-friendly in Norfolk, and likely willing to give them a treat (or two). Many h.
