Maruti, Hyundai, Mahindra and even Tata recently who bang on about safety so much has removed the rear fog lamp from their cars. One reason could be that the Indian audience is mostly unaware of this feature and barely use it or if they are using it, then it is usually in a wrong way.
The other reason is mostly cost cutting. Since many people don’t know or care about this feature, manufacturers have stopped providing it and in turn they save costs. Some cars don’t even have the provision for them while others just have blanked out parts.
