Keys to My Life presenter Brendan Courtney is remaining uncharacteristically coy about his new country abode as the longtime city dweller abandons urban life. The presenter, currently in the midst of filming the fifth series of his hit series, is adamant that he won’t be inviting the cameras through the door of his new rural home. ‘No, I won’t be filming the renovating,’ Courtney told the Irish Mail on Sunday this weekend.

‘And yes, I do get the irony that I take people into other people’s homes − or their former homes- but it’s stressful as it is, so I won’t be doing a Dermot Bannon,’ he laughed. The Tallaght native, who has spent his entire adult life living in Dublin ’s city centre, says he was more than due a change of scenery. ‘I bought what is − at the minute − a bit of a ramshackle house in Wexford , near to where my sister lives.



I just think it’s time to have a bit of a slower pace of life,’ he explained. And while Brendan Courtney is preparing for pastures new in the scenic surrounds of the southeast, he is also going back to his Irish roots with a crash course as Gaeilge.
