Former US president Donald Trump is apparently getting with the times to get ahead. As a part of his campaign to appeal to young male voters, per The Guardian, the Republican presidential nominee collaborated with 23-year-old right-wing video game streamer Adin Ross for an interview on the platform Kick on August 5. This was at the behest of his 18-year-old son Barron Trump , who claimed Ross was a “friend”, per The Independent.

Donald also revealed that his children were thrilled about the interview with the popular streamer, saying, “My kids say, ‘Dad, you have no idea how big this interview is.’ I said, ‘Don’t tell me that.” Trump later boasted about the interview on his social media platform, Truth Social.

“Wow!!! Adin Ross Interview yesterday exploded , but in a very positive way! Platform set an all time record, by far, with over 100 million views/hits. Congratulations to Adin and his wonderful mother, father and family, who I had the pleasure to meet. Thank you also to Barron Trump for the introduction to your friend, Adin.

Young people are the future of America. Those numbers are really big stuff !” claimed Trump. However, the interview reportedly only peaked at 583,000 views, according to Stream Charts.

Ross has since apologised, pleading to be unbanned to “collab with my favourite people”.

Photo: AP Photo Ross prompted Tate’s arrest earlier this year, according to the Rolling Stone, after he revealed messages from the former kickboxer expressing his intention to flee from Romania despite his travel ban.

The message said, “Hey, I’m gonna be leaving Romania soon and probably never coming back”, which Ross read out loud live on Kick. The Gen Z streamer has also interviewed white supremacist Nick Fuentes and a Kim Jong-un impersonator. His gifts to Donald Trump could get him in trouble During his interview with Trump, Ross offered the presidential hopeful a customised Tesla Cybertruck and a gold Rolex Day-Date (known as the “Presidential” watch), which experts say may lead to a campaign finance violation for exceeding the individual contribution limit of US$3,300.

Per The Guardian, Trump’s campaign will handle the gifts after seeking advice from the Federal Election Commission. The 23-year-old is known for his video game streaming content and controversial interviews with figures like white supremacist Nick Fuentes and, more recently, former US president Donald Trump Ross was permanently banned from Twitch for ‘unmoderated hateful conduct in chat’ including homophobic, racist and antisemitic comments, and since moved to Kick – he owns a stake of the platform too.
