Despite the drizzly Melbourne weather, watching my little one enjoy the skyline view of the CBD while pointing out the cars and trucks whizzing past on the freeway was a wholesome start to our first interstate weekend away as a family. We stayed in an Executive Suite at Oakwood Premier Melbourne , which is ideally located in Southbank. After smooth check in, where the little miss was given a teddy bear as a surprise gift, we made our way into the one-bedroom suite , with a cot already set up and ready to go.

We weren't keen on staying right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the CBD with our little one so this offered the best of both worlds. Ideally situated in Southbank, the five-star hotel is just a short walk to key attractions such as Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, South Melbourne Market, Marvel Stadium, and DFO South Wharf.

The suite was the perfect size for three people. The in-room kitchen and laundry facilities are ideal when caring for a small human, and needing to wash bottles and the like.
