For those who do not know, Sridevi married Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor in a secret wedding back in 1996. Surprisingly, he was already married to Mona Shourie and had two kids with her. He honestly confessed this in front of his first wife. He further went on to reveal that he got secretly married to Sridevi in a private ceremony in Shirdi on June 2, 1996, sans any public announcement. However, when months later, Sridevi’s pregnancy became apparent they announced their union and publicly got married in January 1997.
Boney further expressed his love for the actress and stated, “She was my strength, my lifeline, and she remains in my thoughts constantly. It’s unfortunate that she left us so soon, especially when I needed her the most when I wanted her to witness the success of her daughters.” He added, “I wanted her to witness my foray into regional films, as it was her suggestion.
I’m striving to fulfil all her aspirations, and I’ll continue to do so.” Sridevi’s death Sridevi died in Dubai on February 24, 2018, due to accidental drowning. Her last film was Mom , in which she portrayed the role of Devki Sabarwal, who vows to avenge the rapists of her stepdaughter.
