The clock is now definitely ticking down to 2025 and if you want to welcome it in style, the good news is that New Year's Eve fireworks are back in Newcastle for the first time since 2019. The last time fireworks lit up the sky above Newcastle on NYE was those pre-Covid days of 2019 and now, after a five year hiatus, which saw them replaced by a laser show, they will be back this week and there won't just be one, but TWO free displays to enjoy on Tuesday night, December 31. These will be the ideal chance for both families and those out celebrating the New Year to welcome in 2025 in fine fashion, with two amazing displays being promised by the organisers, award winning North East based Reaction Fireworks.

Additional entertainment will be on offer on the Quayside an hour before each display, with eye-catching walkabout performers and local traders supplementing the wide array of nearby businesses, so it’s an ideal opportunity to make a real evening of it and enjoy everything Newcastle has to offer. The first of the two displays will be at 6pm, with the second at midnight, as the chimes ring in the New Year. The designated viewing area on the Newcastle Quayside will offer the best views of both displays.

This runs from under the Tyne Bridge along to the Cycle Hub, and at Baltic Square on Gateshead Quayside. Given the scale of the displays, the fireworks will also be visible from wider areas across Newcastle and Gateshead. To allow for the displays to go ahead safely, road closu.
