The following month, reports indicated that Shiloh, 18, Pitt and Jolie’s biological daughter, filed a legal request in Los Angeles to remove Pitt's last name from her identification documents . Pitt had previously described fatherhood as his greatest joy, but following his 2016 split from Jolie amid accusations of verbal and physical abuse, their six children have largely sided with their mother.



In the divorce proceedings, Jolie sought full custody, citing concerns for the children’s physical and mental well-being. Although Pitt was awarded joint custody in 2021, reports suggest his relationship with the children has deteriorated.
