Thursday, November 14, 2024 Westgate Resorts has broken ground on River Country Water Park, an exciting new attraction at the acclaimed Westgate River Ranch Resort & Rodeo, set to welcome guests in summer 2025. This vibrant water park promises a blend of thrill and relaxation, embodying the adventurous spirit of River Ranch. River Country Water Park will feature three adrenaline-pumping waterslides: a 281-foot open slide with exhilarating twists, a colorful tube slide, and a high-speed freefall slide dropping from 35 feet.
An oversized lagoon pool, inspired by island getaways, will offer sun shelves and lounge seating, providing the perfect spot to unwind. Families and younger guests can dive into an expansive aquatic play zone with a splash pad, mini slides, dump buckets, spray cannons, and a charming waterfall. Kid-friendly attractions surrounding the area include the “ride ‘n spray” horse, a mushroom maze, and a towering water feature known as “Buddy Bovine.
” Ranch-themed cabanas, designed after the resort’s signature glamping wagons and teepees, will provide exclusive seating for six guests, complete with a large-screen TV, mini refrigerator, and private safe.
