– Three Ste. Genevieve girls were among the local medal winners during the Notre Dame Invitational cross country meet on Saturday. Hollyn Zangaro (21:39) finished sixth while teammates Ashlyn Wezner (23:26) and Laurie Parker (23:30) were 13th and 14th, respectively, for the Dragons.
Valle Catholic standout Madelyn Griffard (21:01) ranked fifth among 61 girls to complete the 5K race. West County senior Jazmine Morris (24:53) ended just outside the top-25 medal cut. Notre Dame featured a 1-2 individual finish with Lily Coy (19:40) and Martina Ressel (20:15).
Aidan Morris (16:34) was fastest out of 100 varsity boys for Notre Dame. Valle Catholic senior Austin Ringwald (18:26) collected the lone medal from an MAAA conference boys squad in 19th overall. Gavin Zerwig (19:25) and Finn McClard (20:05) paced Ste.

– Farmington cross country finished eighth among 20 girls teams and ninth among 39 boys teams during a road trip to Tennessee on Saturday night. Axtin Brune clocked a time of 16:23 for the Knights, and claimed 16th place with 262 boys on the course under the lights at the Frank Horton Classic. Ayden Wiles (16:47) crossed the line 32nd with teammates Nickolai Cain (17:30), James Martin (18:05), Jaxson.
