Flood alerts and a warning have been issued for Bolton tomorrow as rain is expected to carry through to October 1. Bessy Brook at Lostock, is under an official warning according to Gov.uk, meaning flooding is expected for the area near Lostock Primary School.

Properties along Sudbury Drive and parts of Rumworth Road and Regent Road are at risk. A government spokesperson said: "Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding throughout the afternoon and into this evening, Monday 29th September 2024. " Flood alerts have been issued for parts of the A666 near Bolton town centre. Tudor Avenue, near Bolton School, and Gilnow Road, near Gilnow Primary School, are also under alert, as well as many other areas in the borough. It's important to note a flood alert differs from a flood warning, as it means flood.
