Here we are, back again with the only thing softening the blow of another summer feeling like nothing but a distant memory. And even if you despite the idea of an American phenomenon getting bigger by the year this side of the pond, you can surely admit it brings a laugh to a time of year in desperate need of it. With the call to dress up as generic sexy / ghoulish characters for a boozy house party still weeks away, we at Daily Star towers embarked on more pressing matters.

That is to attend the VIP launch of Thorpe Park's Fright Nights we know it's a tough gig but someone has to do it. We weren't just there for a laugh, though reader, oh no. With the theme park bringing out another set of horror mazes for the season, we thought it best to let you know what they're like, you know, in the off chance you fancy a fright of your own.



A fair bit of queuing to get through park security and then the guest list check, ate agonisingly into the maze and ride times. It's unlikely you'll ever catch so many reality stars and TikTokkers so prompt on arrival at a glitzy event, Fright Nights really must be content creator heaven. After patiently waiting with a sea of familiar faces, Thorpe Park was all ours to share with its creepy new inhabitants.

And I seriously do not know why because even the Mummy Returns still has me hiding behind a pillow. But here I am in the queue for the Trailers scare maze and instantly regretting all of my li.
