THERE aren’t many people that know skin better than dermatologists, but appointments don’t come cheap. Thankfully, skin doctors are bottling their expertise in eponymous brands – here are three of my favourites. Budget Dr Sam’s, £9-£62, drsambunting.

com/collections/shop : Dr Sam Bunting is one of the best dermatologists in the UK, and has personally battled acne , so she knows what it feels like to have problem skin. The brand launched in 2018 with just one product, Dr Sam’s Flawless Cleanser, £19, and I still remember how impressed I was the first time I used it. Since then, the range has grown to encompass almost 20 products that target all sorts of skin concerns, and there’s not a single dud.

If you want no-fuss, hard-working skincare, you can’t go wrong. It’s my most used brand. READ MORE ON MAKEUP Mid-range Dr Idriss, £35-£79 : If you have ever sought skincare advice on social media, you will probably have seen a video or two from Dr Shereene Idriss , AKA @PillowTalkDerm.

Her goal is to simplify skincare, and the five-product line-up that launched in the UK this week does just that. They are all brilliant, but I especially love Dr Idriss Major Fade Hyper Serum, £70, which contains a sophisticated blend of niacinamide, kojic acid, glycerin, alpha arbutin and diglucosyl gallic acid which hydrate skin and reduce pigmentation for even tone and texture – which is exactly what I want! Luxury Dr Dennis Gross, £12-£465, spacenk.com/uk/brands/d/dr.

-dennis-gross : When my acne was at its worst, it was the Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Universal Daily Peel, that gave me the most respite, and helped keep the breakouts somewhat under control. Most read in Fabulous The brand turns 25 next year, and its product catalogue spans face, body and tech – with Dr Dennis Gross DRx SpectraLite FaceWare Pro, £465, claiming top spot as the best-selling skincare device at Space NK. There’s no denying it’s pricey, but if you want to invest in your skin, every product is more than worth the spend.

Pick of the week I’M a huge believer that you don’t have to pay hundreds of pounds to get a great perfume, and All Saints’ new collection, in celebration of the brand’s 30th anniversary, proves that. There’s three EDPs to choose from – Shoreditch Leather, Ravaged Rose and Sunset Riot Intense, all £40 for 30ml. Shoreditch Leather is my favourite – it’s got notes of amber, wood, saffron, vetiver, and you guessed it, leather.
