FARGO — The highly anticipated 2024 North Dakota State football season kicks off in just over a week and WDAY-TV is getting you ready for the upcoming year. Over the next two Sunday nights, WDAY will present two half-hour specials to look at the 2024 Bison and preview the big storylines surrounding the team. They will also focus on the season opening game against Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders and his Colorado Buffaloes.

In Part One, WDAY's Dom Izzo sits down with new head coach Tim Polasek to discuss the challenges that await him in his first year as head coach of the team. Polasek describes what positions he's keeping an eye on through fall camp, and the luxury of having a four year starter back at quarterback in Cam Miller. WDAY's Sam Goetzinger has a pair of feature stories focusing on two major question marks heading into the 2024 season.

One story focuses on returning All-American safety Cole Wisniewski and his decision to return to NDSU for his fifth season of eligibility. Questions surround Wisniewski's status as the Bison near the end of fall camp, as he has yet to practice recovering from offseason foot surgery. Goetzinger also features the Bison running backs, which are also dealing with a significant injury during camp as junior Barika Kpeenu went down with an MCL injury during the first week of fall camp.

His status for the Colorado game is up in the air, which has put more pressure on returner TK Marshall and newcomer Marty Brown. ADVERTISEMENT The Forum's Jeff Kolpack joins the show as well to preview the 2024 schedule. There are a pair of quirks in this year's schedule, including NDSU playing ten consecutive weeks without a bye.

FCS teams are allowed to play 12 games in 2024, and the Bison will hit two states they have never played a game in before, Kentucky and Tennessee. NDSU will make its debut at Murray State in late October, along with a trip to Johnson City, Tennessee to face East Tennessee State. The Bison will also host rivals North Dakota and South Dakota State as part of the 2024 schedule.

WDAY will be broadcasting nine of NDSU's 12 games this season, the broadcast schedule is listed below..
