NEW DELHI: Trinamool Congress MP Kalyan Banerjee shared a light moment with BJP MP Jagdambika Pal on Tuesday for the first time after the infamous "glass bottle" incident last month during the Joint Parliamentary Committee meeting on Waqf bill. A video showed the two leaders shaking hands and talking about the next JPC meet on Waqf at Parliament. Banerjee, who had smashed a glass bottle and thrown it towards Pal at the meet, urged the chairman to let opposition members speak and went on to imitate how Pal stops the opposition leaders from speaking.
The infamous JPC meet that witnessed heated exchanges over Waqf (Amendment) Bill witnessed glass bottle being smashed and abuses being hurled between Banerjee and BJP's Abhijit Gangopadhyay, leading to the suspension of former from the committee for one session.
