Shah Rukh Khan was hooured with Pardo Alla Carriera award at the Locarno Film Festival 2024. The actor looked suave in an all-black outfit for Saturday night. The superstar, who is as well-known for his on-screen charisma, gave an acceptance speech. Khan began his speech to the 8,000-person crowded Piazza Grande in Locarno by expressing gratitude for the cordial welcome he had received. “Thank you all for welcoming me with such wide arms – wider than the ones I do on screen,” he said, alluding to his well-known open-armed stance.



Shah Rukh concluded his speech by saying, “I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart and from India. Namashkaar and dhanyawaad. God bless you all.

” All dramatics continues after the serious speech. It’s the Locarno Film Festival, we all need to sound intellectual, ok? (sic)” He continued, “My day has been wonderful, the food has been nice, my Italian is improving, so has been my cooking.” He then spoke Italian and translated, “I can cook pasta and pizza also.

I’m learning here in Locarno (sic).” Khan discussed his varied roles throughout his 35-year career in the film industry. He summarized the range of his acting career by saying, “I’ve been a villain, I’ve been a champ, I’ve been a superhero, I’ve been a zero, I’ve been a rejected fan, and I’ve been a very, very resilient lover (sic).

” The festival honoured his career by showing Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 2002 film , in which he portrayed an affluent law graduate whose life fell apart due to rejection from family and personal strife. The honour follows his wildly successful 2023, during which his three blockbusters— , , and —were released and became enormous hits. The Hollywood Reporter claims that on August 11, he will also take part in a Q&A session.

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will start filming for , his upcoming movie. Actor Suhana Khan, who is also the daughter of the superstar, will reportedly star in the movie. If rumours surrounding the films are to be believed, Sujoy Ghosh will take on the director’s cap while Abhishek Bachchan will play the antagonist.
