On Day 3 of the ongoing 2nd Test between India and New Zealand, Ravindra Jadeja made an unintentional run out, which was in a similar fashion to the former Indian captain MS Dhoni. Dhoni was also known for his spectacular ways of dismissing players with run outs. In the 70th over of the innings for New Zealand, Glenn Phillips sent the ball towards sweeper cover and went in for a couple runs.
Washington Sundar was caught off-guard as he was not expecting it. When he threw the ball back, Jadeja gently flicked the ball towards the stumps, which without him knowing, actually hit them. Virat was quick to ask for a review and though Jadeja was not sure, Kohli immediately made an appeal.
The replay showed that William O’Rourke was just a tad bit short of the crease, and hence was declared out. He went back for a three-ball duck..
