Vegas Golden Knights forward William Karlsson scored the game-winning goal at 3:44 of the third period, lifting the Golden Knights to a 3-1 victory against the Vancouver Canucks. It was the second consecutive win for Vegas and sixth in their last seven. Throughout this hot stretch, the Golden Knights have won in a variety of ways.

Some wins have been close affairs, like Canucks game. Others have been high-scoring games like the one against the Montreal Canadiens on Nov. 23.

Either way, the Golden Knights can win in many fashions, prompting Karlsson to say the team has a “little bit of everything.” “This one was very tight. A lot of defense, but we’ve shown we can win like this,” Karlsson said.

“In other games, we’ve shown that we can score a lot of goals. So we have a little bit of everything, and that’s a good thing to have.” The Golden Knights are 10-1-3 in one-goal games and 4-1 in two-goal games.

They also have 12 comeback victories this season. “It’s important now to accumulate points and get yourself in a position to be able to play in the tournament at the end of the year,” Vegas coach Bruce Cassidy said. “You can’t let these games get away from you.

...

It’s important for your psyche for later on to know that you can be in these games because they tend to get closer as they get more important towards the end of the year in playoffs. So you have to be comfortable in these games.” Paul Delos Santos is the Las Vegas sports insider for Dice.
