There are only a few more weeks until the end of Warriors Path State Park’s award-winning "Summer In The Park" activities. During the week of June 29, families can explore wildlife and wild plants, share traditional tales and skills, discover local trees and insects and much more during “Summer in the Park.” Not to mention, it’s all free.
Below is a complete schedule of next week’s activities. NOTE: All activities meet in and near the park’s Main Campground, unless otherwise specified. 4:30 p.
m. NATURE STORY TIME - Come relax under a big shade tree during the heat of the day and enjoy a story about the natural world around us. Meet at the the main bathhouse.
6:30 p.m. TENNESSEE TRIVIA - Come test out your skills and see how well you REALLY know our state.
Meet at the Open Air Chapel, or main bath house if it is raining. 9 p.m.
CAMPFIRE TALES - A dark night, a crackling fire, and some old local tales. Meet at the campfire circle, east end of the main campground. In case of rain, meet at the main bath house.
9 a.m. LEAF ID BOOKLET - Leaves are shade on a hot, summer day.
Leaves are the green carpet of the hills. Leaves are full of amazing stories! Let’s find out more about the names and stories of our green neighbors. Meet at the Open Air Chapel, or main bath house if it’s raining.
10:30 a.m. FINGER WEAVING - Our ancestors had looms for weaving.
We may not have looms, but if you “give us a hand,” we can show you another way to weave. Meet at the Open Air Cha.
