Monday, September 23, 2024 voco Hotels, started by InterContinental Hotels Group, makes a bold entrance in Tucson with the stunning launch of voco The Tuxon, redefining luxury and comfort. voco Hotels, part of the IHG Hotels & Resorts portfolio, has officially arrived in Tucson, Arizona, with the recent opening of voco The Tuxon. This marks the brand’s 71st property globally.

The 112-room hotel, developed in collaboration with SVP Holdings LLC and Align Hospitality, sits along the scenic banks of the Santa Cruz River, just minutes from Downtown Tucson and the bustling Mercado District. Embracing a Desert Modernist aesthetic that recalls America’s iconic motor culture, voco The Tuxon delivers a mix of vintage flair and contemporary conveniences. The design features brass, stone, and saddled leather elements, paying homage to southern Arizona’s rich ranching and mining history.



Upon arrival, guests are welcomed with a signature voco treat—locally-sourced Prickly Pear Cactus Candy, reflecting the region’s native flora. Each room is thoughtfully designed with a nod to the area’s American, Mexican, and Native American influences. The brand’s commitment to sustainability is showcased in the guestrooms, which feature duvets and pillows made from 100% recycled materials and eco-friendly, plant-based toiletries.

Dining at voco The Tuxon is a unique experience at The Pool Bar, a poolside restaurant in collaboration with Michelin-starred chef Drew Record. The menu highlights local flavors for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and happy hours are hosted from 3-6 p.m.
